I haven't eaten Ethiopian food very often, this place was awesome! Had the combo platter with the spicy lamb :) Ps don't eat the green little hot peppers (my boyfriend says eat the peppers)

I give this restaurant a one, hostess didn't really explain nothing, food way over priced, some of my food was cold, don't know if the eat food like this in their culture, menu needs to be updated with more real pictures so customers can see before ordering

This was a really good place. The Assa Dullet and the injera was perfectly cooked and super flavorful. It seems to be set up for parties and takeout, but it was warm and welcoming and run by native peoples, and you can't beat that. Will definitely be returning!

Food is fantastic and so reasonably priced. Great vegan options and a great place to take a newbie to Ethiopian food. You can bring your own wine for a small corking fee.
(4)Gigi D.
Cheerful service, but onto the food. The sambusas were tasty, but they were served cold. Good sambusas come out almost burn-your-mouth hot, flaky and crispy. The kitfo wrap was huge, so it was perfect for the two of us to split and feel satisfied but not stuffed. Overall, I've had tastier kitfo wraps in Atlanta. Their homemade cottage cheese was really good. Note: this place isn't in a pretty part of town, so unless you're in the area and are pressed for time, I'd say head to some of the other Ethiopian joints like Desta or Meskerem.

Nice and friendly place, food is authentic and served with a smile. Great place for family, friends to share a meal together. Get a platter to share and enjoy, large place to accommodate big crowds.

I loved my two evenings at this restaurant. The meal was fast, hot and tasty. The injera bread was as good as it gets. But the owner, TG, really made it special. She was full of energy and talked with me, although I was only a first-time visitor. Bole was not busy when I was there, probably because of very cold weather in Atlanta. TG made me feel welcome, as an honored guest. The second evening I returned with two Polish guests for a second, fine meal.

I love Ethiopian food and found this place while on a business trip to Atlanta. I had the Bole combo with chicken and lamb and I loved every bite I could manage. The lamb was pretty spicy, a little more than I have seen with other Ethiopian restaurants. Bring a good appetite. I'll definitely be back.

Small eatery located in a tiny shopping center--first visit. The staff are very friendly and make you feel totally welcome. On the day of my visit it so happened to be the new year for those in Ethiopia and I had a chance to learn how they celebrate and try Ethiopian coffee (so smooth, puts our stuff to SHAME) and a traditional bread. The item ordered was a platter for 3 or more which was beyond delicious, a variety of items to try with Ethiopian traditional spongy-like bread! The options on the platter are vegetarian, beef and lamb and at least 2 out of 3 had some serious spice which I LOVE and find seriously lacking in Atlanta eateries. You eat with you hands here guys! For dessert, Baklava. I've never been here before and it was quite empty on a Saturday evening , but I have seen it packed during the lunch rush Monday-Friday. Go, expand your palate, you will not be disappointed!

I love Ethiopian cuisine and sample it any time I get the chance. Bole didn't disappoint. I brought a group of first timers with me, so we ordered a platter that everyone could eat from. My crew was impressed and we enjoyed a good meal. This restaurant was hard to locate. We were tourists who took the train in from the city to eat here, and it was a challenge to find this place. Not necessarily their fault but I would recommend at least having good directions online somewhere from the train stop.

Bole has pretty good Ethiopian food. It's your typical stewed/curried meats with injera (spongey bread). The injera is not true injera because they make it with flour instead of terra (a grass flour of Africa). And the amount of meat they give is a lot. But the problem that lies here is it's service and logistics. It takes awhile for your food to come out. And the service is not good at keeping up with you or checking in on you. They need to improve service and it would be a better restaurant.

If you enjoy Ethiopian food you can't go wrong with this restaurant that feels more cozy and comfortable than the large space would have you suspect. We were at the nearby Hotel Indigo looking for some hearty, quality, whole food, and Ethiopian was the front-runner. It didn't disappoint. Sweet waitress, tasty food. This place seems to be in business largely from the Ethiopian cabbie community, which is a good thing in my eyes. I don't dig the touristy, Westernized Ethiopian places inside the parameter. The chicken "tibs" was awesome.

Visiting Atlanta to pick up my daughter and ran across this place. First experience with Ethiopian food. Might be my new favorite. Tried the Bole Combination Platter. EVERYTHING was great. The red lentils were the stand out for me. The lamb was very good. Just the right amount of spice. Definitely recommend this restaurant. I wish there was an Ethiopian place near us.

Venue: Bole Ethopian Restaurant Decor: Nice, spacious , plenty of sitting area Service: Very Friendly Environment: Quiet, family style Food: Ethiopian Prices: Moderate, Most things will be $11-20 for single entres Huge Pros: Food is flavorful, not overly croweded Debbie Downers: Not down with Team Portions. More Injera that could ever imagine, enough flavorful meat. Conclusion: This is one of those establishments where the service out does the food by a long shot. The food was very good but IMO, it wasn't as plentiful as it should for what you are paying. I had the Bole combination (veggies was good, lamb was good) and most things on there was good. Too much injera on my plate, kind of overkill with it. However, the fruit drink made from scratch with no sugar was very refreshing and delicious. Overall: C

I've been doing a month long, full on Vegan diet to kick-start a healthier lifestyle, and I was looking for vegan friendly restaurants in the vicinity of work, and Bole came up in my searches. Keep in mind, I'm not a "true" vegan, but I wouldn't say their lunch menu was terribly vegan friendly - I only saw 2 vegan options (including appetizers and sides). Anyhow, that has nothing to do with the star rating, just putting that out there for folks looking for Vegan meals. Anyhow, I ordered the vegetarian combo, and apparently the server thought I said Bole combo, which has beef and lamb. So after a fairly long wait, the food comes out, and it's small individual piles of beef, lamb, and veggies on injera (the spongy bread). I told the woman who brought it I ordered the vegetarian combo, and she called out to the server who comes over and tries to tell me, "no, you ordered the bole combo." I'm not sure how vegetarian and bole sound similar, but she actually argued with me, then she ultimately said "we'll fix it for you at no additional charge." Gee, thanks for not charging me extra for what I ordered. So the other woman goes to the back for about 10 seconds, and brings the plate back out and puts it down in front of me without a word. She had literally just scraped the meat off the injera, and brought it back. The grease and sauce from where the meat was was still on the injera. At this point, I wasn't about to send it back because they seemed pretty disgruntled that I'd sent it back the first time and I have a policy against pissing off people handling my food. The server did apologize afterwards. As it was, the food was fine, not bad, not particularly good. The portion was quite small, but I assume had they made a vegetarian plate to begin with, it would have more veggies on it, and they didn't add any when they scraped the meat off. I'm curious to try their meat dishes (it did look good, and I wanted to eat it) after I'm back on a more normal diet, but I don't think I'd return because of the way they handled this.

They are just Okay. I've had better and the service was very slow to start with. We waited six minutes before someone greeted us yet she saw us. It's consumed with men so my boyfriend thought it was some gay secret society lol. The bits were just okay. I doubt that we will return.
(3)Vernel M.
I was pretty impress with the taste of the food. I had the bole combination ( chicken and beef combo). The vegetables were fresh and deliciously spiced to perfection. If your looking for good service and a little taste of Ethiopia in Atlanta this is the place The place has great potential. My only suggestion is to heighten the experience with live Ethiopian music.

Nice shop. The food was great, though I think the veggie combo could have used a bit more salt. The injera was fresh and tasty. The service a tad slow but very friendly.

OMG my new favorite Ethiopian restaurant!!! I've been craving Ethiopian food over the past few months and been to (what seems like) almost every Ethiopian restaurant around Atl (obviously exaggerating a bit) BUT the food here is friggin awesome!!! I mean hands down the best and pretty reasonably priced. I got the lamb platter to share and it was plenty of food for two of us. In addition, the staff is super super friendly and very polite and attentive.

This food was amazing! It is such a friendly environment! While visiting Atlanta, my Boyfriend talked me into trying something different! We decided to check out this Ethiopian restaurant near our hotel. I had plan on "going safe" and picking something like pasta or wings, but the manager told us to try the platter. It was AWESOME! We also tried the honey wine and beer. We liked them both! It's a great spot. This will be our spot to go every time we visit for a Braves game!
(5)Sean O.
With all of the positive reviews I was expecting a better experience. The food was subpar and service even more so. Having not eaten Ethiopian food in some time I was hoping to eat so much better than I did.

We had a lovely dinner there last night. The veggie combo plater was delicious. Would also recommend the fruit drink. The service was friendly too.

We survived "stuck at the Atlanta airport" for 3 days during the deep freeze storm of 2014. We were exhausted, bored, and hungry from an entire day at the airport. We discovered Bole via yelp. What a great find! Not only did this place fill our stomachs with delicious food but also lifted our spirits. Eating with our fingers was fun and we laughed at ourselves for being so uptight with traditional European eating etiquette. They have flatware if needed. :) This place was one of the highlights of our entire xmas vacation.
(5)Mark S.
Being new to the area, I was lured in by all the positive reviews...and I wasn't disappointed! The hostess, Tigi, was very friendly. Overall very friendly and casual atmosphere. I had the meat and vegetable dish. The meat was very spicy, but tasty. The flatbread, injera, was unique, but delicious, as was the fruit drink I had before the meal. Looking up Ethiopian cuisine online afterward, I discovered Ethiopians eat exclusively with their right hands. Oops...strike another victory for ignorant Americans everywhere! I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town (and leave my left hand in my lap).

Fantastic place. Found it by accident while in GA. Food was authentic and very well priced. Ethiopian food is so delicious and addictive. The Doro Wot is always a good place to start, if they get this right you know the rest of the items on the menu will be up to par, needless to say, Bole was right on the mark. Located on Virginia Ave inside the shopping plaza, it's easy to miss unless you are specifically looking for it. The curve appeal or decor is nothing to brag home about, to be quite honest, I'm not sure I even remember it all that well. The food was the one thing that I'll always remember, and that's not a bad thing. If you are looking for authentic Ethiopian food in Georgia even if just for take out, look no further than Bole Ethiopian Restaurant. I was very impressed, my server took good care of me, she offered a special type of Beer that they serve, for the life of me I can't remember the name, but it was exceptional. I'll be coming back, no question.

Fresh off a flight on a Sunday, late lunch time. We were looking for a quick bite. The first couple places we looked were closed. We re-filtered results for "Open now" and found the very favorable results for Bole. We were up for a little adventure, having little experience with Ethiopian cuisine. The location is a nondescript shopping strip, but the interior is very nice and clean. The tables are set with linens and it is clear that this place can seat many diners. I suspect that our arrival was at a bad time as it appeared that only one person was holding down the entire operation when we walked in. Our server (an owner maybe) was helpful, polite and exceedingly patient with us. The food was tasty and tangy. The bread was flavorful and clearly "just made". Everything was very pleasant and tasted very good. The only complaint is that this was a very leisurely meal and we were in a bit of a rush, with a four hot drive ahead of us. I'm happy for the diversion, and a bit frustrated over the lost time.

We had our holiday book club party at Bole last night. I have only had Ethiopian once before so I was a bit apprehensive but as soon as I got there, realized I had nothing to worry about. The food was delicious and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They also had some special touches - like roasting our coffee beans next to the table. I will definitely be back.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food so I'm not too sure on how it was supposed to taste but I will say that I absolutely hated the texture of the injera. Once again it was also my first time trying injerA so maybe it's just not my preference. But the chicken was quite tasty and it was a good amount of food for the price. I must also add that as a non red meat & pork eater my choices were very few and when I asked the lady if I could switch meats she kinda blew me off and showed me the only chicken entree on the menu lol but she was very nice and attentive. Three stars because the lady was nice & the chicken was good.

I was told about this restaurant by co-workers and so me and a few went out to find this Ethiopian gem. The front door is wooden with a golden door knob, and you almost think you're entering someone's house...fitting since it's very inviting. I Ordered the Awaze tibs but it took some time getting to that decision, since I kept changing my mind because they had a nice little selection to try, and while I loved the flavor of the Awaze Tibs (not spicy at all), i'll be back for more. Yes, the service was a tad bit slow, but we were back in the office just a few minutes over an hour, not a big deal. The wait staff was very friendly, had no problems telling you what the better selection was from two dishes, and was never too far away when you needed them. My meal came to just over $8 and some dishes were $5 or below. Much to my surprise, there is a breakfast menu as well. Welcome little addition that has my service.
(4)Jen L.
Food was AWESOME! The Flavors are just TASTY! Spicy but just GOOD! I got the combo platter, I could not have been happier. GREAT portions. The service started off STRONG...and somewhere towards the end was still friendly but fell off. I would definitely come back when in the area. So tasty!!

Tigi she is an amazing host with an amazing smile and passion for life. We stop for one night at Atlanta looking for interesting food and found an culture experience with good food, good coffee and interesting stories. I highly recommend to visit taste and enjoy the beautiful hospitality.

This place is awesome! The service was amazing. Made you feel like you were meant to be there. The food was absolutely delicious. Ordered a few different items, and everything was spectacular. The variety meat place is a great to try if you are a newbie to Ethiopian food.

We went to this Ethiopian restaurant on our trip to Miami. We were planning to have breakfast but they even have some of the lunch menu by 10Am.We had traditional Ethiopian shredded 'Injera' stir fried with beef stew or spices the so called 'tibis firfir'.That was awesome and delicious. And we had a coffee after meal we do love that too.Me and my friend will definitely be back.one last thing the waitress was so sweet and friendly she was more than happy when we ask her to take picture of us.

Weary from a full day of travel that included a cross-country flight and an hour in line to get a rental car, my travel partner and I were in search of some yummy comfort food and good down-to-earth hospitality. We found both just a few minutes from the airport, at Bole. What this little hidden gem lacks in modern ambiance is completely and utterly compensated for in quality of food and spiritual warmth. We walked in late -- 9:40pm on a Sunday night to find our smiling hostess more than willing to ensure we were taken care of and well-fed. One other table of gentlemen was also in the restaurant relaxing and enjoying a meal. We ordered a couple beers and the vegetarian combo platter. I am an Ethiopian cuisine fan -- one of my favorites -- and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavors and quality of ingredients. This meal was surely made by someone who loves what she does and who loves to see her patrons cared for. The menu is quite extensive and more than reasonable price-wise. I strongly recommend you seek out Bole if you're in the area...even as a side trip on your way to or from ATL airport...and especially if you find yourself craving those amazing African flavors that can only be satisfied by a belly-filling traditional Ethiopian meal.
(4)Geoffrey E.
Stuck by the airport again and recently a vegetarian, I sought out Bole again after more than two years. I found it to be much the same as before. Service is slow, but the staff is genuine and the food is well prepared. The vegetarian combo will have me coming back again when next I find myself in the area.
(4)Chad B.
Food was Fresh and beautiful. My first experience with Ethiopian food and I fell in love. The Bole Combination was delicious. Definitely coming back to try more.
(4)Sara M.
I read all the reviews before going to this restaurant while in Atlanta last business trip. I tend to look for Ethiopian food because it's one of my favorite foods to enjoy while I'm out on a trip or even at home. To admit that I was seriously disappointed in the flavors of this restaurant, some dishes taste burnt and the injera was not as good as most places that I've been to, makes me sad. Maybe I picked a bad night, no wait I've been there twice and it was the same. Bummer for me because I stay in downtown Atlanta quite a bit. I give it 3 stars because the wait staff was great and I got my food quickly.
(3)Stan S.
Really very good Ethiopian food here. Particularly loved the lamb and spicy red lentils. Worth going out of your way to get there.

Food was awesome! Love the cinnamon tea. Espresso was great. highly recommend this place for those who want to explore Ethiopian food.

Where do I start telling you how much I love this restaurant? I've been several times for lunch - and when my Book Club decided we wanted something different we decided to try here. 13 women to please - and many were skeptical about Ethiopian food. I called to talk to the manager, Tigi, and she bent over backwards for us. A big table, room for a dozen large White Elephant gifts, our own wine bottles were allowed and Tigi explained the dishes. We all had the nectar of the Gods - Ethiopian coffee, brewed in a little ceremony. Delicious. I'll never go there again without ordering that. The food was loved by every one of us. Even the skeptics! We had Bole Combinations, Doro Wat, Doro Tibs - many others - I can't remember... The cost was about $20 per person. It doesn't get any better than that. We'll be back. Thank you again Bole! If you work in the area of the Atlanta Airport and are looking for a place to eat - they are on Virginia just west of I-85 and are open 7 days a week 10-10. Enjoy!

Yet another restaurant where its a little difficult to rate. I'll begin my saga with why I went to Bole.... they STILL are advertising on restaurant.com (see review below) and wanted to try something unusual while visiting a friend near the airport. We arrived around 8PM and the restaurant was locked tight with nobody inside. The lights were on, so we knocked on the door a bit and in about 5 minutes somebody came and unlocked it and let us in. OK, this was a little weird for sure. I had looked over their website menu before arriving and thought that the combination platter would be perfect for three people. When I tried to order it, they said they didn't have any sort of combo platter. OK, again, this is all very odd. I presented my restaurant.com certificate, as was required for certificate use and they told me no less than 5 times that they couldn't take it... and went so far as to ask if we really wanted to stay. OK, odd? So, since the combo platter was no longer available we sorta created our own with various dishes that we could all share. The food arrived in about 20 minutes and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. We had a Veggie Combo, Awaze Tibs, Chicken Rice & Ye Beg Lega Tibs. We absolutely polished off the last morsel on the table! Would I go back? Probably not, even though the food was great.... as the evening was just a bit too surreal for me. So, back to my rating... they get a 5 for food and a 1 for service... hence the 3 rating :)

Amazing. My first experience with Ethiopian food and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and the food was awesome. Highly recommend!

Wow!! I love this food! My very first time eating Ethiopian food, but it will not be my last. My very helpful server tonight walked me through the menu and recommend the spicy lamb. I me how better can it get, eating great food with your fingers. Lol harder than you think. Simple and clean decor and the service was great. I really appreciate the patience to introduce me to this wonderful cuisine. Before I leave Atlanta I will be back to try something else, Bole is well worth the trip.

Ethiopian is not something I encounter all that often, it is always surprising when I do (So far it has happened 0 times on the road) Restaurants rarely have nice walks on the way to them when parked so close to an airport (So far it has happened 1 time on the road, it was in Georgia too) Rarely do vegetarian options jump out on you And you discover that their CD is skipping on the 1-e-and-a-2-e-and-a-3-e-and-a-4-e-AND of every song And while you discover this delicious beer hinted with sweet honey and lager Touch your lips and realize You'll be home in three days. Just three days

We had a restaurant.com certificate, and the lady taking our order had to check with her manager to see if we could use it. She then came back to us and informed us their credit card machine wasn't working. Our five year old daughter had the chicken rice, and she almost finished it herself. It smelled wonderful with a garlic aroma and had a bit of sweetness to the dish. Our three year preferred to eat with hubby and myself with our hands. Try the catfish or the lega tibs! Everything was good, and we had no complaints with the food. After our meal, we had to leave to get cash. They didn't ask for our id or ask for some of our party to stay behind. Hubby settled up when we got back, and noticed the bill didn't add up. We were charged tax twice and then were not given the correct change. We'll go back as we didn't have issue with the food.

This place is not show palace but the food is first rate Ethiopian food! Full of flavor and the food is cooked with such a full arsenal of spices. I really love eating Ethiopian food and Its hard to beat Desta Ethiopian Kitchen but Bole does a good job as a go to place when am craving Ethiopian Food. The service sometimes can be challenging but they make up for it in taste. The owner is very nice and polite person that is always welcoming when she is in the house.

My family of five all enjoyed the meal. Everything was delicious and fresh and flavorful. Even my young children loved it and they are as picky as you can get. We all shared the vegetable and meat platter that comes with beef and lamb but we had chicken instead of beef. I personally don't normally like lamb and I thought the lamb here was excellent. The service was great and our server was very friendly and seemed happy to guide us through our first Ethiopian food experience. The place seemed Clean as well. We will definitely be back and would recommend to friends.

My first experience with Ethiopian food and I enjoyed it. Food is rich and full flavored. Tables are pretty basic, but ambiance was fine. Based on the number of local nationals the food and service met their standards.

Best part of flying out of ATL. Been to many Ethiopian places, and this is one of my favorites

Stopped in for a bite here when we were staying at the nearby Hampton Inn (had an early morning flight the next day) and it was wonderful! I have had Ethiopian food a few times in New York and Chicago and Bole was great quality. My boyfriend has never had Ethiopian and loved it.The place is nothing fancy but is comfy, the food is delicious, and the staff is great. We shared the combination platter and polished it off with Ethiopian beer (recommend both). We got about a block away and I realized I forgot my purse, when we went back the server was waiting outside with it. I don't live in Atlanta but I will definitely eat at Bole if I'm ever in the area again!

The food is awesome! I love Ethiopian food and this place delivers the flavor. So I guess you are wondering why I gave it 3 stars? Ok, downside: if you are a combat veteran, this may not be the place for you. My fiancee is a soldier and was wearing a US Army tshirt. He was started at rudely, which we couldn't understand until we were sitting waiting for our food and realized that Aljazeera was on the TV. As much as I adored the food here and the woman serving us (she was very sweet), I will never subject my fiancee to this very anti American establishment again. Pity.

Excellent, authentic and nice people. Small, casual. Can't recommend enough for anyone exhausted from chain food blandness and awful atmosphere.

What a great Virginia Ave dining option. This place serves home made cooked to order delicious Ethiopian food. They serve alcohol, have a television near the bar area, and the small staff is very friendly and accomodating. The lamb is very good, some dishes have bones in it, beware! Great injera. Spicy in the best way. This is my absolute favorite in the area. Try it!! Decor is limited, lighting a little bright, but the waitress is sweet as can be. Perfect airport area chow.

Ate here again several weeks ago with several co-workers. The food was great. This time they had a coffee roaster set up on the floor, so I asked if I could have some. The waitress roasted the beans (actually not the most pleasing smell), ground them, then served the coffee at the end of the meal. I normally drink my coffee black, but she told me that traditionally it was served with sugar, so I said go for it. She put about four heaping teaspoons in this little demitasse-sized cup with the coffee. I told her it was a little sweet for my taste, so she kept diluting it with more coffee as I drank. Once the ratio tipped toward the coffee side, I was very pleased with it. A fresh, full, rich flavor. I'll be getting coffee next time.

This place is the perfect hole in the wall restaurant with fantastic North African food. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the staff was extremely friendly. It's a very family-friendly place. The waitresses were super friendly with our kids. Couldn't do better!

This place is a must visit! Our waitress was great! She was very helpful in describing the menu and helping us decide what to order. We ended up getting a combination platter which was amazing! The food was soooo wonderful!! I will definitely be going back next time I am in Atlanta.

not to sound cliché, but this is my first time writing a review. I LOVE Ethiopian food and seek out the cuisine when I travel. I happen to be in Atlanta for the night and thought why not. The place is bright and cherry and they had two TVs to keep you occupied while waiting on your food. This comes in handy when you are traveling for work by yourself. The food was absolutely delicious! I am rarely able to order just one dish when eating Ethiopian and tonight was no different. I went all veggie with the veggie combo and then added the spicy chick peas. Fantastic! I live in Texas and I crave spicy food and Bole delivered. Both the red lentils and check peas were spicy not to mention the jalapenos in the salad. One of the owners happened to be work and she is also the chef. Such a delight! Keep up the great work and the great laugh, truly endearing. I'll be back by the next time I'm in town. If you're up for adventure stop in you won't be disappointed.

Tried lunch here a couple of times and came away very happy both times. The Injira bread (somewhat like a soft pancake texture) is great. The spicy dishes have the right amount of spicyness and had the home cooked feel to them. The salad that comes on the plate was fresh. Highly recommend it when you are near the airport or Delta offices.

Totally yummy. Very warm hostess. Music was authentic. Restaurant was quiet, so a great place to catch up with friends and actually hear what they are saying. I wish I lived by the atlanta airport so I could continue to explore their menu. Also very affordable.

I grew up outside of DC where there us a very strong Ethiopian community an as such a good collection of Ethio spots. Quite honestly, this I one of the better places I have been to. The atmosphere is small, but spacious due to a nice use of space. The hostess was extremely warm and friendly with a great smile for all the guests. The same can't be said for the bartender however. Bathrooms and handwashing area were very clean and overall appearance was nice. The Injera was not all Teff, but that is rare almost everywhere. The spice level was probably a 3 on a scale of 5, with 5 being authentic. The veggie combo was fresh and well laid out. If you are flying into Atlanta it's a short hop from the airport on your way into the city. It is definitely worth the stop!

I am so excited that we got an Ethiopian restaurant on the southside. It is a new restaurant located on Virginia Ave. near the airport. My husband and usually get the veggie combo and lamb. It is amazing. The dishes are fresh and seasoned very well. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because they do not have the Doro Alicha Wot, which is my favorite at Ethiopian restaurant. I guess I will have to continue to go to Cottage Ethiopia when I am craving that dish. :)

Hallelujah! An Ethiopian restaurant on the South Side! The food was great: excellent flavor and lots of it - we shared a vegetarian and a meat dish, and had more than we could eat between the two of us. We will definitely be back, repeatedly.

We went here while staying on business at a nearby hotel. I love ethnic food, and so to be able to find a good restaurant while I am on the road, is a huge bonus! The food is excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. We had the Awaze Tibs and Vegetable Combination Plate. The food is outstanding and the level of spiciness can be adjusted to suit individual tastes. Tigist, one of the owners served us and was as delightful as the food. I will be back often.

ditto on zellyn's hallelujah! i was so excited when i found out about bole, i went that very night. i had my new found favorite, shirot, so cant comment on anything else. the injera was probably the best i've had and i've eaten at almost every ethiopian restaurant in atlanta. i think i'm going back tonight! ;-)

We tried Bole for lunch takeout today and it was just what I was hoping for. Calling ahead, the service was quick and friendly. I had the awaze tibs and others in the office got the lamb lega tibs and veggie rice. The injera was good and plentiful and awaze sauce and diced green pepper was provided. Portions were large - the menu is their dinner menu with no special lunch menu. The prices are reasonable for what you get, even for lunch. They seem to have a good selection of beers and wines and I'm sure I'll eventually make it there for dinner, but its good to find something like this to throw into the lunch rotation! The restaurant is in a strip shopping center in College Park just outside of Woodward Academy on Virginia Ave, and its seems pretty safe.

My husband and I had a really tasty dinner at Bole and enjoyed both the food and meeting the owner/chef, who came to our table after the meal. The food was delicious and very affordable.
